The University Arms, an iconic establishment in the heart of Cambridge, is steeped in history and tradition. When it came time to refurbish the Parker’s Tavern bar and restaurant, it was essential that the new design elements seamlessly complemented the building’s rich heritage. RHA Furniture was honoured to be part of this prestigious project, bringing our expertise in bespoke furniture to help maintain the timeless elegance of this historic venue.

Our involvement in the refurbishment focused on creating furniture that resonated with the traditional style of Parker’s Tavern while providing modern comfort and durability. We supplied a range of bespoke pieces, including custom joinery in the form of window seats and booths, designed to fit perfectly within the architectural features of the space. These elements not only added functionality but also enhanced the cosy, inviting atmosphere that Parker’s Tavern is known for. The tables we provided were crafted with a classic aesthetic, ensuring they blended harmoniously with the overall decor.

The seating options, including beautifully designed bar stools and armchairs, were created with the same attention to detail, reflecting the traditional style that defines Parker’s Tavern. Each piece was thoughtfully designed to honour the venue’s history while offering guests a comfortable and stylish dining experience. This project underscored our commitment to preserving the character of historic spaces through carefully curated furniture that respects the past while meeting contemporary needs.
